Byelaws
Byelaws for each of the three Range Danger Areas, Okehampton, Willsworthy and Merrivale permit the Ministry of Defence to prohibit public access to the specified areas when live firing is programmed and warning signals displayed. The specified areas are shown on Ordnance Survey and military maps and outlined here.
The Byelaws also make it an offence to:
- Dig, search for, interfere with, take, retain or be in possession of any projectile, lead or any other metal.
- Interfere with or remove any store or article.
- Interfere with, move or remove any warning notice, danger signal or boundary marker.
